| The images available through NOAH have been provided from a number of different sources. This means that the quality of the images will depend on the quality of the original sources.
Some images, particularly probate records, have been scanned from old microfilm copies and some may be difficult to read. We have sized these images to make them as readable as possible. However, you may find that saving the images yourself, and loading them into an image editing program aids readability. You can do this by right-clicking the mouse over the image and selecting 'Save picture as …'. This will save the image to your hard drive, any you may then open it using the image editing program of your choice.
Some images are available at a higher quality. For example, high quality copies of Picture Norfolk images can be ordered by following the link on the Record View. 1946 Aerial Photographs can be ordered by visiting www.citiesrevealed.com. If you are interested in obtaining copies of 1988 aerial photographs click 1988 Aerial Photographs Order Form and Details
